More than 37,000 Facebookers have signed up into a group to give their supports to embattled reform icon Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati.
As of Monday noon, the account of Kami Percaya Integritas Sri Mulyani Indrawati (We Trust the Integrity of Sri Mulyani Indrawati at Facebook.com has attracted 37,860 members.
The posting on the front page of the account said that they supported Mulyani because she is the reform icon as well as anti-corruption figure, as she is one of three public figures awarded last year with the Bung Hatta anti-corruption award.
The other two public figures are Judicial Commission chairman Busyro Muqoddas and Corruption Eradication Commission deputy chairman Amien Sunaryadi.
The posting also said that Sri Mulyani bailed out Bank Century not to save its owner Robert Tantular, but to save the nation's banking industry from collapsing during the crisis.
To show their supports, the facebookers will present flowers to the Finance Ministry on Tuesday.
